You are also able to use the good old control panel in order to change the time format from 24-hours to 12-hours. Though the best thing is that this method will work in all major Windows versions such as 10, 8, & 7. Whether you guys like to use the Control Panel, follow this method.

  1. First of all head to the “Start Menu“.
  2. Now search for “Control Panel” & then open it.
  3. Choose “Large Icons” from the top-left corner.
  4. Now in the Control Panel, find the “Region” option and click on it.
  5. In the Region window, choose h:mm tt from the “Short time” scroll-down menu.
  6. Select h:mm:ss tt from the scroll-down menu next to the “Longtime” option.
  7. Next tap on the “Apply” and “Ok” buttons to save conversions.

That is all now finished. Though the conversions are stored instantly. You are also able to now see the changes reflect on the taskbar & in the time and date flyout that appears when you tap on the taskbar clock.

As you can also view, that it is rather easy to alter the time format from 24-hour clock to 12-hour clock in Windows 10 just by using the Settings app or the Control Panel.

Furthermore, here you guys are also able to change the short & long time displays to be in the 12-hour format. For doing this, just tap on their respective scroll-down boxes & choose the short format you prefer. Though the clock options are the 24-hour & 12-hour clocks, both with & without leading 0’s.
